How GrazerTrack works for cattle, sheep, goats and other animals?
A network is created by many long range Bluetooth tags transmitting back to fewer transmitter collars when an ear tag becomes within range
of a transmitter collar. Only the collars need LTE-M subscripted data telemetry to send a packet of data which reduces overall connection costs.
Networking ear tags are relatively inexpensive.
The LTE-M network tends to report more often than other satellite tag options.
Phone app only available with PC dashboard coming soon. Tracking & temperature data only. Easy, map a geo fence at your phone app.
Alerts/notifications received will be:
1. Geo fence triggered (animal is outside of a mapped boundary)
2. High activity (potential predator or distress).
3. Asset lost (ear tag has not connected to a transmitting collar for a concerning period, tag is lost, battery or animal is dead).
The Collar Transmitter is powered by Li-ion AA batteries that will last >8 months.
The Ear tag battery will last the life of the tag (3 years).
